This last race had a total number of 8,494 pigeons in the race! This Saudi International Race – Kuwait – Bahrain (Long Distance) was one of the toughest challenges due to extreme weather conditions, with only two pigeons managing to arrive during the night!
Hussain Baban analysed this race and this are the main conclusions:
Initial Results Analysis:
- Many of the top 10 and top 100 pigeons were from the same bloodline.
- The arrival of pigeons at night is a clear indicator that these birds possess an exceptional ability to navigate in the dark.
- The weather was a major obstacle, as the pigeons faced strong winds and fluctuating temperatures, which impacted race speed and energy depletion
